City of Nuremberg relies on infra3D

We are delighted and very proud to have been awarded the contract by the city of Nuremberg. We will provide the following services for the Bavarian city in 2024: mobile mapping data recording, provision via infra3D Edit (Software as a Service) and inventory of road objects. With the city of Nuremberg, another major German city is relying on the proven digital road with infra3D Data, infra3D applications from iNovitas.

From April to May 2024, all streets in the city of Nuremberg (approx. 1400 km) will be digitally recorded using the latest reality capture technology. The captured 3D panoramic images will then be made available in the infra3D software. The city administration of Nuremberg can use a highly accurate, digital image of its streets, including public spaces, in the web-based application. In addition, various objects in the streets, such as traffic signs, road markings, benches, are inventoried, visualized in the software and provided as geodata.

The city administration staff benefit from the digital street because they can efficiently perform various tasks, including:

• Virtual on-site analyses of public space
• 3D measurements (including distances, areas, coordinates, cross-sections)
• Digitization, visualization and inspection of objects in the street space
• Virtual test drives of temporary detours and alternative routes
• Planning and visualization basis, etc.

In order to comply with data protection, the street views are only made available in anonymized form and password-protected for internal administrative purposes.
